Scaling a Client’s Web Presence

The original site had been online for over 10 years, basic HTML, long URL, no CMS, but it still ranked well thanks to consistent traffic and little competition. Lornewood had just finished renovating their facilities and had new photo and video content ready. It was time for the website to catch up.

I built the new site in Wix Studio. It gave us flexibility to scale the design, while making it easy for the client to update content and manage the site themselves. I stayed on as a collaborator to help with anything more technical.

Beyond the site build, I handled everything from domain migration to setting up G Suite, SEO, business email, a custom HTML signature, and Google Search Console. Doing all of that properly helped preserve search performance and gave the site a clean foundation for growth.

Since launching, the site’s had a 300% jump in traffic, with higher click-throughs and better engagement. The feedback’s been solid, both from the client and their customers.

It’s a good example of how much impact the behind-the-scenes work can have and how a solid setup can go a long way once the design goes live.
